About CASP
The Canadian Association of Sexuality Professionals (CASP) is a national body dedicated to advancing sexuality education, counseling, therapy, research, and community-based practice through principles of equity, accountability, and integrity. CASP affirms that sexuality is a central aspect of human experience and that professional practice in this field must be grounded in sex-positive, rights-based, and pleasure-affirming frameworks.

We believe in the empowerment and sovereignty of individuals and communities to embrace and express their genders and sexuality, to define their own paths, and to positively impact their cultures and world around them.
What We Envision
CASP was founded to create a professional home for diverse practitioners, educators, and community leaders in Canada. Recognizing that pathways into sexuality work are varied and equally valid, CASP embraces academic training, community knowledge, cultural practice, and lived experience as all holding value. Our recognition structures are designed to honor this diversity while ensuring professional accountability and ethical practice across the field.

Our Commitments
We are guided by commitments to decolonization, anti-oppression, and the dismantling of systemic barriers that have historically excluded marginalized voices from sexuality leadership. CASP prioritizes Indigenous sovereignty, Black and racialized leadership, sex worker inclusion, disability justice, and 2SLGBTQIA+ affirmation as essential to building an accountable and transformative professional body.
